“Wildwood, NJ” (2025) Polaroids In Distress Limited Giclee
Dan Bell
Wildwood, NJ (2025)
13 × 19
High resolution scan printed on photo paper using ink pigment.
Original photo transferred to Polaroid film using an iPhone 15 and Polaroid Lab. Polaroid physically manipulated by hand using bleach, oil paints, glue, masking tape, scotch tape, staples, discarded giclees, plastic stamp and court evidence labels. High resolution scan file digitally manipulated in Photoshop.
Polaroids in Distress are images of pop culture icons and objects on classic Polaroid film that are torn, faded, scratched, flame and chemically burned by hand. Once the physical work is complete the Polaroid is put through a high resolution scanning process. A file is created of the scanned work and then digitally edited and completed using Photoshop. The final product is a large, striking 13 x 19 inkjet giclee on archival photo paper executed using the finest pigments.
Each piece is signed front and back, titled, dated and ink fingerprinted by the artist. Every order comes with a link to care instructions and artist approved frames.
This first collection of 10 Polaroids in Distress is only available until 2/18/25 at 9 pm ET. A new collection of 5 will become available on the 2/22/25 at 9 pm ET.
